Our History
Legacy Power South Africa (Pty) Ltd is based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and operates within the Sub-Saharan Africa Region.
LPSA commenced service in Africa during 2004 as part of an OFT Group Campus Manufacturing facility incubator project and specializes in the manufacturing and supply of cost-effective, purpose-built OEM Electrical equipment and systems supplied in accordance with the standards and requirements found within the property development, retail, food, public, services and business sectors.
Since then LPSA have been manufacturing and supplying cost-effective, purpose-built generator systems, ranging from 50 kVA – 3000 kVA. We have reputable relationships with various suppliers, which give us cost effective access to OEM Engines, Alternators and Switch Gear.
Utilizing world leading OEM Brands such as, MTU, Volvo, Perkins, Cummins and MAN. Our mission is to design and manufacture Diesel Generators to match our clients or OEM partner’s specific requirements across the African Continent.
Also available are our newly launched Power Cube Energy Centres which offer a rapid deployment, on-site power generation solution to suit any Site Energy application.
Our team of Electrical Engineers and Project Managers have over 200 years of combined experience in providing our clients with a wide range of ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) and Generator Synchronization systems working in conjunction with leading European OEM Electrical Switch and Control Gear suppliers, such as ABB, Schneider Electric, ComAp, Deep Sea, Siemens and many others.

Our team conduct extensive FAT tests on all our generators ensuring compliance to their design specifications and relative legislative requirements.

Legacy Power Systems manufactures Electrical Switchgear and Diesel Powered Generators and offer a multitude of OEM Electrical and Mechanical Build options. We specialize in the compilation of BOQ items for our clients Electrical contracting equipment and project managing the delivery directly to site for secure storage until needed.
This provides our clients with a costed BOQ baseline for OEM plant materials and equipment that can be procured, manufactured and supplied to the appointed main contractors directly on the clients or developer’s behalf. This allows us as to provide clients with Centralized Procurement, Cost Control and Accountability, utilizing approved and qualified OEM Supply and Technology Partner’s.
